Insurance licensing · Michigan
Michigan tests Michigan law.Practise Michigan law.
A Michigan producer exam is state law wearing a national coat. First-time pass rates for insurance licensing run 41–68% by state and line (2024 state reports), and the questions candidates miss are disproportionately the state-specific ones — who regulates you (DIFS), what no-fault security really consists of, which guaranty association stands behind which line.
Before the exam you must complete Michigan's required prelicensing education — 20 hours for Life, 20 hours for Accident & Health, 40 combined — through a DIFS-approved provider (confirm the current hours at michigan.gov/difs before enrolling anywhere). Funda is exam practice, not prelicensing education: a 200-question Michigan state-law module built only from Michigan regulator sources, paired with the 250-question national Life & Health bank, each item with a plain-language rationale.
Free sampler: 10 questions, full feedback, no card, no account.
What the free sampler gives you
- 10 original Life & Health questions in the exam's style, easiest-first
- Rationales that teach the rule — including which provision or concept the distractors are impersonating
- A taste of the Michigan state-law module's style (DIFS, no-fault, guaranty associations, producer regulation)
- A readiness score by domain, so your study goes where the misses are
✨ Did you know… the grace period is a travel story?
Life policies carry a grace period of about 31 days because policyholders once rode across town to pay premiums by hand — and regulators decided a late trip should not void a family's protection. If the insured dies during the grace period, the insurer still pays, minus the overdue premium. That is a guaranteed exam point.

Before you ask
Does Funda replace my prelicensing course?
No. Michigan requires DIFS-approved prelicensing education before you can sit the exam; Funda is practice and readiness training alongside or after that course, not a substitute for it.
How much of the exam is Michigan law?
The exam pairs a national core with a Michigan-specific section; Funda mirrors that split with a dedicated 200-question Michigan module alongside the national Life & Health bank.
Are these the actual exam questions?
No. They are original, written from the published content outlines and Michigan's own regulator materials — never real, leaked, or reworded exam items.
I was hired on condition of passing. Which plan fits?
Most conditional hires take the 3-Month Sprint ($79) or Until You Pass ($149) — the guarantee plan extends free if the first attempt fails.
What happens after the free sampler?
You get your readiness score and per-domain accuracy; a Funda Pass unlocks the full banks, timed mode, and domain tracking.
