IT networking · Network+ (N10-009)
Networking is the trade. This is the exam that proves it.
The Network+ certification is the vendor-neutral credential employers use to screen network technicians, NOC staff and junior network administrators — the people who keep switches switching, subnets routing and users connected. The current exam is N10-009, live since June 2024; the older N10-008 retired in December 2024, so anything still teaching to 008 is teaching a dead exam.
Funda's networking bank opens with 60 original questions written from the published N10-009 exam objectives — never from real exam items — and weighted the way the exam itself is weighted: troubleshooting is the largest domain at 24%, then networking concepts at 23%, implementation 20%, operations 19% and security 14%. The free sampler draws across all five domains; the full bank is in production and grows from here.
Free sampler: 10 questions, full feedback, no card, no account.
What the free sampler gives you
- 10 original practice questions spread across all five exam domains, easiest-first
- A plain-words rationale on every item — the rule behind the answer, and the objective area it belongs to
- Per-domain accuracy, so you can see whether concepts or troubleshooting needs your hours
- An honest readiness score for the written knowledge — pair it with hands-on lab time for the performance-based questions
✨ Did you know… five minutes is an eternity?
Kerberos, the authentication system behind domain logins, refuses tickets when two clocks disagree by more than about five minutes. It is why one drifting server clock can lock a whole office out of its accounts — and why the networking exam keeps asking about NTP, the protocol that keeps every clock honest.

Before you ask
Which exam version does Funda prepare me for?
The current one: N10-009, launched June 20, 2024. Its predecessor, N10-008, retired on December 20, 2024 and can no longer be booked — if a book, course or voucher still says N10-008, it is out of date.
How is the practice weighted?
To the published objectives: Network Troubleshooting 24%, Networking Concepts 23%, Network Implementation 20%, Network Operations 19% and Network Security 14%. Your practice time lands where the exam's marks are.
Are these real exam questions?
No. Every question is original work written from the publicly published exam objectives — the topics and weighting are the exam owner's own blueprint; the words, scenarios and answers are Funda's. Real exam items are confidential, and using them would be cheating.
Does a question bank replace hands-on practice?
No — and be suspicious of any prep product that claims otherwise. The real exam includes performance-based questions that simulate live configuration and troubleshooting. Funda trains the knowledge and the diagnostic judgement behind them; you still need time with real or virtual kit.
Is Funda affiliated with the exam owner?
No. Funda is an independent study product. The exam name is used only to identify the exam this track prepares you for — no affiliation, endorsement or sponsorship is implied or claimed.
