NCLEX · Repeat takers
The second attempt fails the same way the first one did —unless something changes.
Across licensing exams, repeat candidates pass at far lower rates than first-timers — not because the exam changed, but because most repeaters re-read the same notes and re-drill the same strengths. Targeted practice on the domains you actually miss is the single biggest lever a second attempt has.
Funda's approach is diagnostic first: the free sampler and per-domain accuracy show exactly where the exam caught you — a client-needs category, a scope rule, a calculation type — and the full bank then drills those domains with a teaching rationale on every item, while timed mode rebuilds test-day stamina.
Free sampler: 10 questions, full feedback, no card, no account.
What the free sampler gives you
- 10 original questions across client-needs categories, easiest-first
- Per-domain accuracy — the map of what to fix, not a vibe
- Rationales written to teach the underlying rule, so a miss becomes a repair
- A readiness score you can re-measure as you study
✨ Did you know… potassium writes on the ECG?
Your kidneys hold blood potassium in such a narrow range that a shift of about 1 mEq/L visibly reshapes the heartbeat's electrical tracing — high potassium peaks the T wave, low potassium flattens it. That is why potassium shows up in NCLEX questions about kidneys, diuretics, digoxin and burns alike.

Before you ask
How long must I wait before I can retest?
A mandatory waiting period applies between NCLEX attempts, set under NCSBN policy and your board's rules — confirm the current interval with your board of nursing or on ncsbn.org before you book. Whatever the wait is, use it to change method, not just to re-read.
Should I buy the same big bank again?
Only if it tells you something new. What a repeat attempt needs is diagnosis: which domains, which traps. If a tool can't show you that, it's selling you the first attempt again.
What if I fail again on the Until You Pass plan?
Your access extends free until you pass. Send the score report; keep studying; no new payment.
Is my problem knowledge or test-taking?
The per-domain pattern usually answers it: misses spread evenly suggest knowledge gaps; misses clustered late or in one category suggest stamina or a specific rule set. Funda's timed mode and domain view separate the two.
Are the questions original?
Yes — written from NCSBN's published Test Plan. Not real items, not reworded copies of any commercial bank.
Trained outside the US?
The gaps are usually US habits, not nursing: scope lines, delegation, restraint law and units — coached on the items themselves.

US-educated PN repeat takers pass at 41.7% (NCSBN, 2025). The PN bank is built to PN scope, not trimmed from the RN bank.
